Behind the Scenes With a Special Ops Gunboat Crew

The next best thing to being a Navy Seal. Transport them!

"Many of these Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen, or SWCCs, have survived firefights along the Tigris and Euphrates rivers in Iraq. Fast, heavily armed SOC-R boats are used mainly to insert or extract Navy SEALs, Army Rangers and other special forces personnel. If the enemy interferes, the SWCC response is, in military speak, “violence of action.” The SOC-R’s five weapon mounts provide a 360-degree field of fire. “Anyone who decides to shoot at us will immediately regret that decision once we start shooting back,” says Mike, my designated SWCC spokesman, his face patterned with green and black grease paint. “We have an overwhelming amount of firepower at our disposal. It’s pretty insane.”

Army Makes new "green" training amo

From popular mechanics

"Just because some ammunition is made for practice doesn't mean it's not dangerous. For decades, soldiers in training have fired explosives like the M918 40-mm shell, which is less powerful than battlefield munitions, but still explodes to simulate the "bang" of a real round. However, a few of those old-style munitions—about 3 to 8 percent of current shells according to the Department of Defense—are duds that get stuck in the ground without exploding, creating a cleanup nightmare for the military. The Wall Street Journal reports that the bill to clean up all 10 million acres on 1400 different sites containing unexploded shells could cost about $20 billion. To skirt such pricey clean-ups, the military is turning to a new idea: "green" training ammunition."

2010 Mercedes Benz E-class sedan

This is the newest from Benz.

The new E-Class is a crucial car for Mercedes-Benz, and it comes at a time when consumers are focused more on core values, rather than flash or ostentatious one-upmanship. Thanks to its plusher interior and level-headed on-road demeanor, the new E-Class may steal some comfort-oriented BMW 5 Series owners. And when the new E63 rolls around, you can bet the thrill-seeking contingency will be equally impressed.

Mojo Paintball Barrel

New Carbon Fiber barrel that was released Hammerhead paintball.

"The MoFo is a 14" lightweight (2.3z) rifled carbon-fiber aircraft aluminum composite. The internal guts are made of gun-drilled, rifled, and anodized aircraft aluminum that is swab and scratch resistant. The composite design takes advantage of light weight high tensile strength carbon fiber combined with the compressive strength of T6061 hardened aircraft aluminum. The composite product produces a barrel of superior strength when compared to mono-carbon fiber barrels while providing the advantage of light weight. The barrel is ported and counter-bored for stabilization of the pressure wave in front of the ball and control of air turbulence at the muzzle exit. MoFo comes in mulit-colors and function with the standard Hammerhead sizer system. A digital camo pattern is to be available in April. The barrels are interchangeable with all other fins and ball sizers produced by Hammerhead."

20 year old athlete, Brandon Rittinghouse cracks rib at PSP tournament in Phoenix, AZ.

Philladelphia All Americans

Jason Trosen, coach of Philly All Americans was the unsung hero by creating amazing adaptive game plans for the americans to conquer on the field.

"As for our strategy going into the event, we wanted to stay aggressive the whole time. We know how to win when down in the count and how to play patient, but we needed to added a new dimension to our repertoire. With the style of players we have, staying aggressive on this field was our main priority from the first game on.

We felt we had enough depth to continuously dump bodies into the snake side, which in turn would open up the dorito side. The dorito side was very difficult if the snake side didn’t have control."

SCU Broncos place 5th in SOCAL tournament

Our SCU paintball club sport team played a socal tournament and placed 5th out of 8.  Not bad considering the crappy conditions and issues that we faced this weekend. I am truly proud of these guys. It was pouring on us, crappy reffs, sandbaggers on teams, the list goes on. Other than that, it was fun and exciting.

Teen Sex Assault on Facebook

I just read today that a teen was accused with sexual assault counts after posing as a girl on facebook and contacting 31 juvenile boys, some young as 15, to take nude photos and videos of themselve. Some of these kids were as young as 15. The perp threatened them by saying if they dont comply with his (her) demands that he would expose them to blogs and her friends.

I think its soo funny why this kid would do this and his reasonings behind it. I think its even funnier and a bit sad that they stupid kids would actually take nude pics of themselves and send to some random stranger who you have never met to give private pics and not expect repercussions. This is should be a big lesson for the 31 guys that got suckered into a retarded scam.

what idiots....

Issues with club sports athletics

I started a Santa Clara University Club Sport Paintball team on campus. We are a hard working group of individuals. Some of the issues we have the university is that they dont fund us well. We get a total of $400 a year for the team. The average cost per player without any gear is around $1,200. not to mention the amount of money it costs pay for practice paint, entry fees, gas, and tournament fees. I think they should give us more support and funding. We are a highly recognized club throughout the campus and have been televised, written in media articles and photos.
